Weather is in the headlines this week as Lee spring sport teams are hoping to play most of their scheduled events. The men and women's track teams will have to wait a week in order to defend their Gulf South Conference indoor title. In a release the GSC said due to weather conditions around the region, the Birmingham CrossPlex is unavailable to host the 2021 GSC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Flames and Lady Flames are still hopeful to defend their GSC Championships next week. The conference said it will look at openings next week and a decision will be made later on a possible makeup date.
